When we start a project or set a new goal it can be hard to have the patience to keep putting in the effort of our work when sometimes it can be a while before we start to see results.
When we are doing one small step at a time it’s hard to see the big picture of where we are on the journey. Some small steps don’t really show results until a few of them are strung together.
“The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month.” ~Henry Van Dyke
If we can step back occasionally we can look at where we came from and where we currently are and see our progress. Taking time to review our journey and reward ourselves for sticking with the goal or project can have a lot of positive impact on our progress.
As we work on moving our ideas forward it helps to break the larger goals down into smaller steps for achieving your progress toward the larger goal. When we do this we are able to celebrate little victories along the journey. The feelings of accomplishment we get from completing the smaller steps will keep our motivation up and help us to keep showing up and putting in the effort.
Keep showing up and doing your work and you will soon see the rewards of achieving your goals. We can all succeed one small step at a time.
